Lovewell Mountain - 2470 Ft

DESTINATION: Lovewell Mountain
TRAIL: 4x4 road, Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway
DISTANCE: 2.3 Miles
HIKING TIME: 50 minutes
SEASON: Late fall
DATE: November 17, 2007
WEATHER: 25 degrees, clear
PARKING: From Rt 31 take a right onto Halfmoon pond road.  Travel 1.9 miles to "Lovell" (that's what the sign says) Mountain Road on Right.  Drive as far as you are comfortable.

MAP: (Lovewell Mountain)

DESCRIPTION: "Lovell" Mountain Road is actually part of the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway and you are driving on the trail.  As you hike the 4x4 road watch for the trail leaving the road off to the left.  The Greenway is clearly marked with white blazes.

Parking - Summit = 50 Minutes
Summit - Parking = 40 Minutes

NOTES / COMMENTS: Winter is on it's way and the trail was covered in a slight dusting of snow and a bit icy in places.  The views to the southwest are spectacular and the ledges are worth a visit.
